Jeet Kaul has over 19 years experience in the computer industry, 11 of which are in Java
and Internet programming. As a Vice President at Sun Microsystems, he is responsible for the delivery of
the Java EE platform and the Sun Java Application Server. He was a key player in open-sourcing the Java EE platform,
now known as Project GlassFish. Prior to his current role at Sun, he was Vice President of Engineering at NetObjects, a
Web services company. Kaul has been a successful entrepreneur, founding Rocktide Inc. in 2000, which was later acquired
by NetObjects. Prior to Rocktide, he was a Chief Architect at BeyondNews, which was purchased by Inktomi for $90 million
in 1999. Prior to BeyondNews, Kaul used his technical expertise at Apple Computer, working on font rendering, and at
Sun's JavaSoft on Java 2D.
Jeet Kaul is a patent holder who holds a Masters of Science in Computer Engineering degree from Rice University in Houston, and a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors degree from Birla Institute of Technology, India.
