Eric Stanley - Advisory board member

Eric Stanley is the Curator of Collections and Exhibitions Manager at the Sonoma County Museum, a regional history and art institution, where he has worked for over eight years. He currently manages a collection consisting of over 20,000 items ranging from significant works of modern and contemporary art, to historic artifacts that include clothing, jewelry, weapons, furniture, ethnographic material and ephemera. He oversees the accessioning, deaccessioning and acquisition of items for the collection and has significant experience in coordinating the authentication, appraisal, and conservation of a wide array of objects.

In addition to his Master's and Bachelor's degrees in History, Eric studied collections management at the Smithsonian Institution at Washington D.C. His experiences have included contact and collaboration with such nationally and internationally significant artists Christo and Jeanne Claude, James Turrell, and Robert Hudson.
